Educational Overview
Pulpy Kidney
Pulpy kidney, also known as enterotoxemia, is a condition most commonly seen in young livestock such as sheep and goats.
It occurs when certain gut bacteria suddenly multiply and release toxins that can affect multiple organs.
Although it is not typical in dogs or cats, pets living near livestock or farm environments may be indirectly exposed to contaminated areas.
Because this condition progresses rapidly in affected species, any sudden changes such as weakness, disorientation, or unusual behavior in farm animals—or pets that may have been exposed—should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
Good hygiene, proper feeding practices, and routine veterinary care in livestock help reduce the risk of environmental exposure.
Natural pet botanicals are not intended to replace veterinary care or medication. Our formulas are offered as an alternative health support for your animal's condition and not as a cure.
