Educational Overview
Heartworm in Dogs (Very Rare in Cats) – Educational Note
Heartworm is traditionally described as a mosquito-borne condition affecting the heart and major blood vessels of dogs.
Signs may include reduced energy, coughing, or exercise intolerance, though some dogs may show few changes early on.
In cats, heart worm exposure is far less common, but when it occurs, signs can be subtle or sudden. Because symptoms are different to canines, and may overlap with many other conditions, veterinary testing is important for accurate identification.

Toy dog, Puppy under 5 months. add 1 teaspoon of herbs into a cup (approx. 240ml) of hot water from the kettle, mix allow to cool and mix 2 tablespoons in meals.
Small to med dog, Puppy over 5 months. add 1 teaspoon if herbs in a cup of hot water from the kettle, mix allow to cool and mix 3 tablespoons in meals.
Med or Med-large dog : add 2 teaspoons of herbs in a cup (approx. 240ml) of hot water from the kettle, mix allow to cool and give 4 tablespoons in meals.
This occurrence is the very reason why it’s important to keep a dog from excitement as best as possible throughout the entire natural solution process and upwards of 8 weeks post-natural solution - so dead or dying worms do not lodge in an artery thereby causing pulmonary embolism (blockage of blood flow in one or more arteries by the worm segment which can cause death). The huge benefit your pet receives by way of taking the natural (three months) approach is that the chances of having an embolism occur are much less likely than the conventional natural solution route.
Since that route is designed to kill the heart worms in days, not months.
So we are talking a full 4-5 month time span from the start of our regimen until we should be retesting them.
If your pet proves positive at that time (which is unlikely), we repeat just one more cycle shown above.
Note: It is not widely recognised within conventional veterinary medicine for systemic parasitic conditions.
