Calendula herb has long been valued for its ability to soothe and heal. It is traditionally used as a natural antiseptic and is associated with helping to calm stomatitis symptoms. Calendula is also known for its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, helping to reduce gum inflammation while supporting balance against gingivitis, cavities, and plaque. By improving oral comfort, it supports healthier gums and teeth.

Calendula herb has also been linked with healing ulcers and wounds. In traditional use and modern studies, calendula-based preparations have been observed to support faster recovery for slow-healing wounds and exposed ulcers. In one study, animals treated within an eight-day window using a calendula preparation had a 90% wound closure rate, compared to only 51% in those untreated. Its action in improving blood flow and oxygenation to injured tissue makes it a trusted ally in recovery.
