Unfortunately, most types of tumors found in cat’s kidneys are malignant (cancerous). The most common type of kidney cancer in cats is renal lymphoma, followed by renal cell carcinoma and nephroblastoma.

It is more common that kidney cancer in cats is secondary, meaning it has spread from cancer that began elsewhere in the body. However, primary cancer may also occur.

Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer, accounting for approximately 85% of all malignant kidney tumors. In RCC, cancerous (malignant) cells develop in the lining of the kidney tubules and grow into a mass called a tumor. Like many other cancers, the growth begins small and grows larger over time. RCC typically grows as a single mass.

Primary renal lymphoma is very rare.
PRL is often considered a systemic disease manifesting initially in the kidneys.  Therefore often a cat has Feline Leukemia Virus and then secondary Renal Lymphoma .  The most common type of kidney cancer in cats is renal lymphoma. Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects your cat’s white blood cells, and it can affect lots of different parts of the body. This type of cancer is associated with the feline leukemia virus (FeLV), which is more common in middle-aged cats.

If your cat has secondary Renal Lymphoma, has your cat been tested for FeLV ?
In fact, around 50% of cats diagnosed with renal lymphoma test positive for FeLV.
If you already know your cat has FeLV..  *

People and Pets with CKD commonly have low albumin levels because of the loss of protein (albumin) in urine.
Medical term its called Hypoalbuminemia (Low Albumin)
What is Low Blood Albumin?
Low blood albumin, or hypoalbuminemia, is not itself a disease but is a symptom of an underlying disease or other causative factor.Since the liver is responsible for manufacturing albumin and maintaining optimum levels in the blood, liver disease is often suspected. However, low blood albumin can also be the result of malfunctioning kidneys, digestive problems such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), pancreatitis, malnutrition, or extensive damage to the skin from burns, infection or mites.
Because diagnosing the underlying cause is critical to proper natural solution, a trip to the veterinarian is in order.

Albumin is a blood protein that is manufactured in the liver. The main functions of albumin are circulating necessary molecules throughout the bloodstream in support of metabolic processes and binding with water to stabilize blood pressure by preventing leakage from blood vessels. Low levels of albumin in the blood can be caused by inadequate production of albumin in the liver or by loss of albumin through the kidneys, digestive tract, leaking blood vessels, or seeping skin. While fluid leaking from the skin is easy to identify as a problem, other less obvious signs of low blood albumin range from swelling of the chest or abdomen, puffiness in the legs, lethargy, lack of appetite or vomiting.
Symptoms of Low Blood Albumin in Cats
Since low blood albumin is essentially a side effect of some other underlying malady, symptoms of the condition will vary depending on the cause.

Cats with low blood albumin may exhibit:
Swelling of the abdomen
Distended chest cavity
Edema in the limbs, which is swelling from leaking fluid rather than from injury or trauma
Panting, or shortness of breath
Lethargy
Poor appetite
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Fluid seeping from the skin due to injury, infection or infestation

Causes of Low Blood Albumin in Cats
Hypoalbuminemia is caused by a disruption of albumin production in the liver, or through a depletion of the protein via blood loss or blood disease.

The most common causes include:
Liver disease
Cholangiohepatitis, which is a malfunction of the liver that also includes the pancreas and/or gallbladder
Chronic pancreatitis
Inflammatory bowel disease
Kidney disease
Intestinal parasites
Malnutrition or diet too low in protein
Pyoderma, or skin infection
Skin parasites such as demodectic or sarcoptic mange
Widespread burns to the skin

Low albumin levels can result in swelling of the feet or hands, fatigue, loss of appetite and dry/itchy skin.  Astragalus herb has been shown to increase albumin levels in the blood so may help with reducing the symptoms caused by low albumin.

Renal Failure, other degenerative conditions like C.......... . FIP rtc:
Add ¼ teaspoon (a good pinch of powder) in some food. As they need to eat food small quantity but regular meals (which puts less stress on the kidneys) Feed day and evening ... as I notice cats will often eat more during the night.

Studies done
The non-essential amino acid, glycine, is often considered biologically neutral, but some studies indicate that it could be an effective anti-inflammatory agent. Since inflammation is central to the development of cancer cachexia, glycine supplementation represents a simple, safe and promising treatment.    We tested the hypothesis that glycine supplementation reduces skeletal muscle inflammation and preserves muscle mass in tumor-bearing mice. To induce cachexia, CD2F1 mice received a subcutaneous injection of PBS (control, n = 12) or C26 tumor cells (n = 32) in accordance with the protocols developed by Murphy et al. [Murphy KT, Chee A, Trieu J, Naim T, Lynch GS. Importance of functional and metabolic impairments in the characterization of the C-26 murine model of cancer cachexia. Dis Models Mech 2012;5(4):533-545.]. Subcutaneous injections of glycine (n = 16) or PBS (n = 16) were administered daily for 21 days and at the conclusion of treatment, selected muscles, tumor and adipose tissue were collected and prepared for Real-Time RT-PCR or western blot analysis. Glycine attenuated the loss of fat and muscle mass, blunted increases in markers of inflammation (F4/80, P = 0.01 & IL-6 mRNA, P = 0.01) and atrophic signaling (MuRF, P = 0.047; atrogin-1, P = 0.04; LC3B, P = 0.06 and; BNIP3, P = 0.10) and tended to attenuate the loss of body mass (P = 0.07), muscle function (P = 0.06), and oxidative stress (GSSG/GSH, P = 0.06 and DHE, P = 0.07) seen in tumor-bearing mice. Preliminary studies that compared the effect of glycine administration with isonitrogenous doses of alanine or citrulline showed that the observed protective effect was specific to glycine. Glycine protects skeletal muscle from cancer-induced wasting and loss of function, reduces the oxidative and inflammatory burden, and reduces the expression of genes associated with muscle protein breakdown in cancer cachexia. Importantly, these effects were glycine specific.

Glycine deficiency, can also manifest in various other ways, including fatigue, muscle weakness, digestive issues, and cognitive impairment.  Severe deficiencies can also impact collagen production and wound healing, and may be associated with developmental delays and other neurological problems.

Fatigue and Muscle Weakness:
Glycine plays a role in muscle function and energy production, so deficiency can lead to weakness and fatigue.

Digestive Issues:
Low glycine levels can affect stomach acid production and gut lining integrity, potentially causing digestive discomfort.

Cognitive Impairment:
Glycine is involved in neurotransmitter function, and deficiency may impair cognitive function.

Wound Healing:
Glycine is crucial for collagen synthesis, which is essential for wound healing. Deficiency can hinder the healing process.

Developmental Delays:
In some cases, particularly with enzyme deficiencies affecting glycine metabolism, developmental delays in speech, motor skills, and intellectual development may occur.

Neurological Problems:
Deficiencies can lead to neurological issues like seizures, particularly in infants and children, due to the role of glycine in brain function.

Other Symptoms:   Depending on the specific deficiency, other symptoms can include failure to thrive, upper respiratory infections, and skin changes.
