Golden Seal (Hydrastis 1M) is a well-known herb in Western herbal traditions, linked with cleansing and strengthening qualities. It has long been associated with maintaining internal balance and resilience.

How to Use

  • For small pets: Traditionally, repeated small doses were given at close intervals, with many carers reporting noticeable ease after the third or fourth repeat.

  • For horses or farm animals: Add several drops or a few granules into a 1–5 litre bottle filled with clean water. Gently shake or stir for a minute before use. This water can then be poured into a dam or added by the cupful into a trough.

  • Repeat this process once or twice weekly as part of a regular care routine.

  • It is safe if other animals drink from the same water source.

    My friend's horse was having spasmodic colic episodes, the vet she called would not attend due to the horse not being Hendra vaccinated. We used the liquid combination Colic Action from my equine first aid kit, and the mare recovered relatively quickly after passing wind and manure. We will continue to use it weekly as a preventative in the water trough. I highly recommend this product for your first aid kit.

    Works very well, 17 years old finhorse tends to have upsets a couple times a year, this remedy solves the situation not developing into severe. The effect is shown in 10-15 minutes

    Used the pills when my 28 year old horse was experiencing pain from impaction colic due to misaligned teeth causing unchewed food to form blockage. Got her through the pain and cramping until she could pass the blockage. Recommend keeping this formula on hand for such emergencies as well as getting equine dentist to regularly check their teeth.     I was very impressed with the fast action of this Colic remedy, I would recommend every horse or animal carer have a bottle on hand – just in case. Just one or two doses brings fast relief.
