INGREDIENTS AND BENEFITS

Formula 1.
Common Salt (Natrum Muriaticum 12C) – traditionally used to help balance hydration levels in the body, support fluid distribution, and maintain electrolyte stability. It has been associated with supporting digestion and assisting in cases of sluggish bowels linked to dryness.
Ohio Buckeye (Aesculus Glabra 12X) – traditionally used for venous congestion and circulation support, particularly where there is heaviness or straining in the lower abdomen or rectum. It has also been linked with supporting normal bowel tone and reducing discomfort from sluggish elimination.
Gum Resin (Asafoetida 200C) – traditionally used to relieve abdominal bloating, flatulence, and reversed peristalsis (when stomach and bowel contractions move in the wrong direction). Known for its pungent qualities, it has been valued as a digestive aid to calm irritation and support smoother bowel movement.
Silicate of Lime (Calcarea Fluorica 12X, 6X) – traditionally used for connective tissue strength and elasticity. It is often linked with support for firm yet flexible bowel walls, assisting in prolapse tendencies and cases where tissues are weakened or strained.
Plumbum Metallicum 1M – traditionally used in conditions where sluggishness of the intestines or impacted feces is present. It has been described as supporting nerve-muscle communication in the bowels, helping to encourage more coordinated contractions.
Magnesium Chloratum (Magnesium Chlorate 30C, 200C) – magnesium is vital for muscle tone and relaxation, including that of the intestines. Traditionally this form has been used to address constipation linked to spasm, nervous tension, or sluggish bowel action, while also nourishing general mineral balance.
Nut (Nux Vomica 30X) – traditionally used for bowel irregularity associated with straining, rectal spasm, or incomplete evacuation. It is often linked to restoring balance in cases where constipation alternates with loose stools, or where rectal prolapse risk is present due to overexertion.
Double Spruce (Abies Nigra 30C, 1M) – traditionally used for digestive sluggishness, heaviness, and constipation linked to poor gastric tone. It is particularly noted for cases where food seems to “sit like a stone in the stomach,” contributing to delayed digestion and bowel irregularity.
Beryllium Metallicum 1M – traditionally used for chronic weakness of the digestive system and sluggish elimination. It has been linked with supporting vitality where bowel activity is impaired by long-standing mineral or structural imbalances.
Blessed Milk Thistle (Silybum Marianum 6C, 1M) – traditionally used to support the liver and bile flow, aiding in detoxification and healthy digestion. It has also been associated with relieving constipation that arises from sluggish liver or gallbladder function, while promoting gentle bowel regularity.
Cuttlefish Ink (Sepia 5X, 30X, 200X) – traditionally used for chronic constipation, particularly when linked to prolapse of the rectum, bladder, or uterus. It has also been associated with obstinate constipation, urinary incontinence, and pelvic floor weakness, offering broad support for tissues and organs of the lower abdomen.

2. Magnesium & Potassium
Support regular bowel movement and help restore mineral balance.Provides gentle, ongoing support without the side-effects associated with synthetic drugs.

Magnesium is an essential mineral, responsible for over 300 enzyme reactions and found in all tissues—especially bones, muscles, and the brain. Adequate magnesium assists with muscle relaxation, tremors, shaking, constipation, and seizures.

Potassium is vital for the healthy function of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, muscles, heart, and nerves.

Available as powder or liquid form

Suggested use (ongoing):

  • Felines, toy dogs, rabbits – approx. ¼ teaspoon sprinkled over meals.

  • Small dogs/animals – ½ teaspoon.

  • Medium to large canines – ½ teaspoon.

3.   Pysllium Husk Grains

When soaked overnight, psyllium husks form a natural gel.
Suggested use: add one tablespoon of the soaked husk liquid into meals once or twice daily, as needed.

For extra support, enemas with a natural liquid may also be considered. (Request “200 PDF Help Sheet” for guidance.)

  • The odor of the tincture was too strong

Posted by Meghan Rich on 7th Aug 2021 (Verified Customer)

The odor of the tincture was too strong to hide in food and my cat resists my administering it directly in his mouth. The magnesium had no effect and the psyllium husk was WAY overpriced, particularly considering it’s not organic. I also was dismayed that the tincture cannot be purchased separately.

  • It is a lifesaver for my feral cat with megacolon

Posted by Lynn Robins on 17th Mar 2020 (Verified Customer)

It is a lifesaver for my feral cat with megacolon. Nothing had been working and she will not allow handling. With Megacol, I put 9 drops in her water and maybe 4 in her food and she has had major relief from the absolute misery she had been in. She will still have an issue once in a while, but it's shortlived and nothing like what it was. I thought I would lose her as all she would do was hide and barely eat, but this is nothing short of a miracle for her. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for such a wonderful product!

  • Frankie has started going every three days

Posted by Kathleen Maddox on 7th Jan 2016 (Verified Customer)

I ordered megacolon for my 15yr old cat Frankie, he has been having constipation issue for years now , where there are times he doesnot go for 6 days and its very strenous , even though i have him on organic raw diet with plenty of water i add to each meal he gets and pumkin. I figure its megacolon , he also has painful discs in his back right by his tail which causes him pain when he goes . Ive been giving the megacolin for just over a week . It takes a few days to start to work not a right on the spot treatment , but frankie has started going every three days so far which is great! I will continue this product ! Just to mention when cats are on a raw diet its call low residual diet which means theres not a lot of waste .so to poop even every second day is a good thing . I also ordered the magnesium gluconate to add for help.

  • This product has worked very well

This product has worked very well on my japanese spitz who has had chronic constipation

  • Her stools are more normal in size

Posted by Yvonne Clutterham on 27th Apr 2011 (Verified Customer)

At first my female cat would run when she saw the pipette in my hand. But for some months now she climbs up onto the washing machine just under the shelf where the drops are kept, and offers her back for us to instill the doses. My husband doses her as well as he has observed the relief she gets from the treatment. Her stools are more normal in size (no longer huge bundles) and she goes almost every day now. We also have her sibling, a male, who eats the same raw supplemented diet as she does and remains regular and has not required treatment for constipation.
