URGENT — Gastric Bloat (GDV) in Animals
Educational Medical Alert
Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus (GDV) — commonly called bloat — is a life-threatening emergency in dogs and some animals. It occurs when the stomach fills with gas and twists, cutting off blood supply and preventing normal digestion.
This condition can progress rapidly and fatally without immediate veterinary surgery.
Emergency Signs May Include
GDV REQUIRES IMMEDIATE VETERINARY EMERGENCY CARE
Supportive Wellness Note (Non-Emergency Use Only)
Some guardians and livestock managers choose to use general digestive and gut-comfort wellness approaches as part of ongoing management and prevention strategies, outside of emergency situations.
These may be used to support digestive balance, hydration, and overall gut resilience, alongside appropriate feeding practices and veterinary guidance.
Water Use
For general digestive wellness support (non-emergency):
-
A diluted wellness formula may be added to water troughs for livestock as part of routine gut-balance support.
-
For companion animals, a diluted amount may be added to the water bowl when refreshed, suitable for shared drinking where appropriate.
* Natural pet botanicals are not intended to replace veterinary care or medication. Our formulas are offered as an alternative health support for your animal's condition and not as a cure. All our oral supplements are to be consumed voluntarily by your animal in food, treats or liquid.

Digestive Awareness in Animals
Understanding Bloat & Intestinal Blockage
-
Why Awareness Matters — Sometimes the digestive system can experience sudden changes that cause the stomach or gut to swell or stop moving normally. These conditions can be very serious and need immediate attention.
-
Signs to Watch For — Restlessness, sudden discomfort, excessive drooling, retching without bringing anything up, or a swollen abdomen may signal that something is wrong. In intestinal blockage, signs may include loss of appetite, straining, or sudden weakness.
-
When to Act — If these signs appear, it is important to seek veterinary help straight away. These are not conditions to wait and watch.
-
Everyday Care — Gentle feeding routines, mindful portion sizes, clean water, and regular exercise are all simple practices that help support digestive comfort in animals.
Formulated with plant-based ingredients selected for their gentle role in supporting overall balance and wellbeing.
