A week or so before surgery or if surgery has already been done and is unwell from toxins of the anesthetic, start giving your pet vitamin C.
e.g. Sodium ascorbate powder (vitamin C) from health food store or buy online. Just dissolve 2 teaspoon of powder in some warmed water (1 cup) and syringe 2ml for a cat or pup or toy dog or 3-5ml for a larger pet or animals. Repeat three times a day also add to meals. As vitamin c only stays in the body for an hour, this is why we often need to repeat up to four to six times a day for therapeutic support.
