Canine Acral Lick Dermatitis (Acral Lick Granuloma, ACL) Support
Acral lick dermatitis, also known as acral lick granuloma (ACL), is a condition in which dogs repeatedly lick a focused area of skin, often on the legs or paws.
Over time, this persistent licking can cause raised, thickened sores that may become chronic and uncomfortable.
As a result, some secondary infections may occur. These include ruptured hair follicles, ruptured apocrine glands, and bacterial infections. These make the itch more severe and also perpetuate the lick cycle.
Allergies are the main cause for excessive licking, especially around toes and feet.
If you have not changed diets to a home prepared diet, you will be able to be given guidance to what may cause allergy reactions with our diet sheet and information that is also supplied with all orders.
If licking our injuries, there may be an underlying infection, if this is the case, also use the "Drawing Out 16 formula

Contributing factors may include:
boredom, stress or anxiety, allergies, joint discomfort, or skin irritation.
Once the licking habit begins, it can be difficult to break without supporting both the skin and the underlying cause.
